In personal development, when you avoid making a decision, you also avoid seizing an opportunity. You need to face these decisions with confidence, even if you aren’t totally sure. When you make good decisions, it builds up your self esteem and your instincts. Even mistakes are valuable as they are instructive learning decisions. When you make the incorrect decision, learn from this, and make sure that it never happens again.

Let your individual beliefs shape your course for achieving enhanced self improvement. When you focus on things that don’t matter to you, your goals will never truly make sense. Try and improve areas that coincide with your values. This is the way to make permanent, positive changes to your life.

Write out a little pep talk for yourself. Take a small sheet of paper and write down every positive attribute you possess. Keep it with you at all times, and refer to it when necessary. Better yet, videotape yourself reading it aloud and view the video frequently. “Why would I want to do this?”, you may be asking.

Instead of talking about your accomplishments, ask some other people about some of the things they have accomplished and what they are most proud of. People will appreciate your company more, and you will find new common points of interests between you and your friends.

The problem may be that you have unreal expectations, that you judge yourself too harshly or that you need to try a different route.

Always be ready to capture your good ideas when they occur, wherever you may be. Start out by carrying a small notepad whenever you go out. Jot down whatever you come up with in detail and then act on it later when your creativity is flowing naturally.
